A bittersweet day at High Ashurst
Today is feeling a little bittersweet! Such a beautiful, sunny and warm spring day which would have been perfect for our 5th Learning Beyond the Classroom conference at High Ashurst.
Everything was ready to go, tent teepee up, motivational industry speakers, inspiring, hands on workshops, amazing food, bumper goody bag and a record number of outdoor enthusiasts in attendance. However, it just was not meant to be but we hope that everyone is staying safe and following the government's guidelines.
All is not lost as we will be ready to go on our rearranged date of 2nd October 2020.
One of our loyal SOLD supporters and a regular delegate to our conference, Seamus Lynch from Cross Farm Infant School in Camberley, sent us a heartfelt message yesterday about his disappointment too.
Seamus says, ''Thought I would drop you a quick message on the eve of what would have been another LOTC SOLD conference. With the weather glorious and wellbeing on everybody's minds at the moment you were at the forefront of my thoughts. The conference is the one piece of CPD I insist on doing every year so I shall be ever so slightly upset not to be making my annual pilgrimage to High Ashurst tomorrow! I hope you and the team are well and managing to enjoy the sunshine as best you can. Take care and stay safe''
We feel the same Seamus and probably many of our other supporters do too. We will be back when we can to help you and your schools to provide quality outdoor learning for your children across their curriculum.
