Queen Green Canopy
Last week we celebrated planting our Tree Of Trees presented to us by Michael More-Molyneux, HM Lord Lieutenant of Surrey, accompanied by Surrey Council representatives Liz Mills, Director of Education & Lifelong Learning, Debra Lee, Senior Woodland Management Officer together with SOLD Senior Managers – Martin Cusselle, Head of SOLD, Louise Edwards, SOLD Manager and Rob Fidgett, SOLD Operations Manager.
We also had two very special guests, SOLD volunteers from Limpsfield Grange School, who dug the hole where the tree has been planted.
The beautiful Field Maple is now planted in a primary position at our centre High Ashurst and next to it the very special pot, the original commemorative aluminium pot that formed part of the 'Tree of Trees' sculpture, filled with seasonal plants and bulbs will be a point of reference/interest to all our visitors.
The gift of a tree is a 'thank you' for all the valuable and tireless work that volunteers and individuals undertake for the benefit of their communities.
SOLD is proud to become part of the living legacy in honour and loving memory of Her Majesty.
