We do not support the planning of a mobile phone mast at Thames Young Mariners

This statement is to inform anyone concerned about the planning application for a mobile phone mast to be located at the entrance to Thames Young Mariners (TYM) Outdoor Education Centre (part of Surrey County Council's Education, Lifelong Learning and Culture Directorate).

This planning application to erect an 18m high mobile phone mast on its site, just inside the entrance to the main gate at TYM, is being forced on the centre. We have not been consulted on this proposal. We do not support the building of the mast on an outdoor educational site directly overlooking operational areas used for delivering educational programmes to young people and adults.

We do not want this, nor have we asked for it and will not be receiving any financial income from such an installation.

We will be formally objecting to this proposed location and would encourage others who have the same opinion to do the same.

Formal objections need to be sent to Richmond Borough Council Planning department, this can be done online. Please note this objection must be submitted before 4th November.
