SOLD’s support to its customers during the cost of living crisis
Surrey Outdoor Learning and Development (SOLD) knows that the current cost of living crisis is putting a lot of pressure on businesses, organisations, and families.
SOLD is exploring ways to support our customers during this tough time. We aim to provide help wherever we can. Our commitment is to offer affordable and inclusive options. This way, everyone can enjoy learning and being active outdoors.
We are putting measures in place including:
- Keeping our price increases to an absolute minimum and wherever possible, below the rate of inflation and we will keep this under constant review.
- Being as flexible as possible in terms of length of visit to fit your budget.
- Reminding customers of our seasonal price differences and price options dependent on which centre and overnight accommodation you use.
- Reducing costs during your residential visits by offering resources for self-led evening sessions
- You can use one night of free indoor communal space for activities like crafts, games, or a disco. These spaces are available during residential visits, depending on availability.
- Alternative transport options include local pick-ups by SOLD minibuses, parent drop-off and pick-up, and public transport choices.
If you have any trouble with your booking, please talk to us first. We want to help you find ways to ensure you can still visit us.
We will reach out to customers who have already booked. In the meantime, feel free to contact us via email at outdoor.learning@surreycc.gov.uk or call 01372 378901 if you have any questions or concerns.
We want to support you during this challenging time and look forward to seeing you soon.
