Directions from the A24 (Dorking)

This route is not suitable for coaches. The postcode RH5 6DG will take you to the entrance of the driveway for High Ashurst which is approximately half a mile past Warren Farm.

  • Continue along the A24 from Dorking towards Leatherhead.
  • At the roundabout by the Burford Bridge Hotel take the second exit B2209 (to Mickleham), which passes in front of the Hotel.
  • Take the second right onto Headley Lane (Juniper Hall field study centre is on your right).
  • After approximately one mile you will pass Warren Farm on your right. Take the next right at the top of the rise in the road.
  • This is signposted to High Ashurst OEC and to private road to Bellasis.
  • At the fork in the road follow the road around to the left and continue up the hill past the coach house on your right.
  • Continue through an old brick gateway. After a further 100m turn right through two large wooden gates and into the centre.
  • Car parking is on your left.

Directions from the A217 (Brighton Road)

This route is not suitable for coaches. The postcode RH5 6DG will take you to the entrance of the driveway for High Ashurst which is approximately 200m past Cockshott Cottage.

  • Take the A217 until you reach the Tadworth Roundabout (junction with B2220, B2032 and A217).
  • Take the B2032 (signposted for Headley). This is Dorking Road.
  • Continue on this road until you go over the M25 and across a mini roundabout.
  • Take the next right (B2033) onto Headley Common Road.
  • Do not follow signs to Box Hill but continue on the Headley Common Road.
  • Take the next left turn onto Leech Lane.
  • Take the next left turn onto Lodge Bottom Road.
  • After approximately one mile you will pass Cockshott Cottage on your left.
  • Turn left at the top of the slight rise in the road and go through the black iron gates. The gates are signposted to High Ashurst OEC and to a private road to Bellasis
  • At the fork in the road follow the road around to the left and continue up the hill past the coach house on your right.
  • Continue through an old brick gateway. After a further 100m turn right through two large wooden gates and into the centre.
  • Car parking is on your left.

Directions from the M25

This route is not suitable for coaches. The postcode RH5 6DG will take you to the entrance of the driveway for High Ashurst which is approximately half a mile past Warren Farm.

  • Leave the M25 at junction 9.
  • Take the A243 towards Leatherhead.
  • At the roundabout take the A24 (towards Dorking) which is straight on.
  • Stay on the A24 and go straight over at the next roundabout.
  • Take a left at the next roundabout.
  • Turn left off the A24 onto the B2209 (signposted to Mickleham). As you turn into the road Box Hill School will be on your right.
  • After passing the church, pub and shop in Mickleham, take the next left onto Headley Lane (Juniper Hall field study centre is on the corner).
  • After approximately one mile you will pass Warren Farm on your right. Take the next right at the top of the rise in the road.
  • This is signposted to High Ashurst OEC and to private road to Bellasis.

Directions through Box Hill village for cars and minibuses

We advise you to approach High Ashurst from Headley Lane using postcode RH5 6DG. However, if you do intend to approach from Box Hill Road please follow the one-way system in place for High Ashurst traffic as agreed with the residents.

Please arrive at High Ashurst via Ashurst Drive (KT20 7LN) and depart via Headley Heath Approach.

Coach drop off point - Rykas Cafe car park

If travelling by coach, please drop off at Rykas Cafe and you will be collected and dropped off by our minibuses. This service is not automatically provided, and must be arranged through the bookings office at time of booking to ensure we have minibuses available.

Rykas Cafe car park is a drop off and pick up point only located off the A24 toward Dorking. Coach drivers will need to vacate the car park once passengers have been picked up and arrive just before their passengers are being dropped off for the return trip.
If coach drivers need to park up, this facility is not available at Rykas. The nearest coach park is at Cobham Services on the M25 between junction 9 and 10.

Minibus collection and return to, and, or, from Dorking station

Pick up in our minibus will be between 9.30am to 10.30am.

Drop off at the end of the week at approximate 4.30pm to 5pm.

The walk across Headley Heath introduces an exciting element into your journey to or High Ashurst. It emphasises the transition between your normal social, or educational environment and the outdoor learning experience at High Ashurst.

It takes approximately 40 minutes to walk from Brimmer Car Park to High Ashurst. The terrain is generally level with one short steeper section. The path is made up with hardcore and is a good walking surface.

The car park is suitable for a coach drop-off and we can transport any luggage to/from High Ashurst for you.
