About residential visits
Choose your outcomes and develop those new skills during your residential visit.
A residential visit involves staying overnight at one of our SOLD centres with your school, Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) or community group.
We offer:
- 2 or 4 night residential stays in our cabins at High Ashurst
- 1, 2, 3 or 4 night residential stays in our bell tents at High Ashurst and Thames Young Mariners
- 1, 2, 3 or 4 night residential stays in our yurts at Henley Fort (1-night stays are date restricted)

As their leader we will work with you to specify your groups learning outcomes during their visit.

- Angel Blue, our canal boat in Guildford (only available for small groups)
What a typical 2 night residential looks like
Day 1
- Group arrival around 12 noon
- SOLD instructor led activities, 1.30pm to 4.30pm
- Evening meal
- Choose a SOLD instructor led activity or a self-led activity such as a campfire in the evening
Day 2
- Breakfast
- SOLD instructor led activities, 9.30am to 12.30pm
- Lunch
- SOLD instructor led activities, 1.30pm to 4.30pm
- Choose a SOLD instructor led activity or a self-led activity such as a campfire in the evening
Day 3
- Breakfast
- SOLD instructor led activities, 9.30am to 12.30pm
- Lunch
- Group departure at around 1.30pm.
