What time should we arrive? For day visits and residentials
Please refer to your paperwork or booking confirmation email.
- For day visits,
- We would recommend arriving about 20 minutes before your first activity time. To allow for the walk from drop off point, use of toilets etc. before the activity starts.
- For residentials that start in the afternoon,
- Your first activity will usually be at 1.30pm. You will need to allow time to walk to the centre, have a site brief and perhaps have your packed lunch onsite. A typical arrival time at the drop off point would be between 11.00 am and 11.30am.
- If you arrive early for a residential,
- Please note that you will be responsible for supervising and entertaining your group until your residential starts. You may have restricted access to a field space or a room, as these could in use by another group already onsite.
What time can we access our accommodation?
Accommodation may not be available until 4.30pm on your day of arrival.
How many sleep in each yurt?
Our standard yurts sleep up to 12 children. They each have 6 bunk beds inside. The staff/adult yurts sleep up to 8 adults. We will provide you with yurts based on your gender splits. E.g. 8 boys would be given 1 yurt. Whereas 4 boys and 4 girls would be given 2 yurts.

Are there power sockets in the yurts? Where we can charge phones etc.
There is a limited power supply to the yurts. This is used for the heaters and lights inside them. Please do not use them for other electrical items as this may trip a fuse. We would recommend using the power sockets in either the 'Rec Hut' or 'Trig Room' (whichever you have been assigned for your stay).
Is there Wi-Fi?
There is no Wi-Fi in the yurts. Some Wi-Fi is available in the courtyard area.
Do the yurt doors lock? Can they be alarmed?
The yurts are only locked when not in use. We do not lock them when in use. Alarms can be provided for a yurt, if you have a young person of concern. E.g. a sleepwalker.

We have individual toilet and shower cubicles. The toilet and shower block is located next to the yurts.
