River Wey canoeing and paddleboarding in Guildford holiday activities for children during their holiday

Water Explorer - Guildford is for 10 to 13 year olds

Pack your sense of adventure and get ready to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature on a memorable River Wey in rafted canoes!

What are rafted canoes?

We join a pair of canoes parallel with a spar across the centre making a catamaran style boat. They are pretty much impossible to capsize, very stable to control, great for young children.

What to wear for water activities

  • Appropriate clothing for the weather: jumper, trousers, long sleeved t-shirt
  • Waterproofs, for rainy and windy days
  • Sun cream and sun hat
  • Old pair of trainers that can get wet during water activities or water shoes (flip-flops, crocs or open back or toe shoes are not suitable)
  • A change of clothes including underwear and socks
  • Shorts or swimming costume and towel

Wetsuits are not provided but you are welcome to bring one.
