Teepee rules, guidelines and checklist
- The teepee or bell tent floor is covered by foam matting, which is then covered by a ground sheet. As a minimum groups will need to bring a roll mat (sleeping mat) and a sleeping bag.
- The teepees are used for camping and there is no electricity in the teepees. There is electricity in the marquees at High Ashurst but not at Thames Young Mariners..
- All our centres are quiet sites between 23:00 and 06:00.
- Emergency contact number is located on the office door or will be given to you on arrival.
- Please report any suspicious visitors to staff.
- Please stay away from other groups/campsite users, stay out of fenced off areas and do not approach the wildlife.
- No dogs on site, except guide dogs.
- Teepee Villages and immediate surrounding areas are No Smoking Zones. A smoking area is available.
- No alcohol to be consumed at any time on site.
- Food needs to be stored appropriately due to pests.
TAZ Family bookings only
- All young people must be supervised by Group Leaders at all times and are not to be left unattended in the Teepee Village.
- All litter, rubbish and food waste to be placed in appropriate bins. Please leave the site as you found it.
- Please ensure you separate the rubbish into the correct bins in the main bin area:
BLACK bins - general waste in black bags
RED bins - cardboard and paper
GREEN bins - glass, tins and plastic bottles only (please rinse and clean before placing in bins)

Prior to or on arrival:
- Provided your medical details (provide at time of booking)
- Dietary requirements (provide at time of booking)
During and on departure:
- Any accidents to be reported to staff
- Any suspicious visitors to be reported to staff
- All rubbish to be picked up and placed in appropriate bin
- Any equipment hired to be returned, clean and complete
- Teepees left as you found them
